3 More Reasons to Celebrate
It’s almost time – only a few weeks until KNN celebrates our 10th Anniversary Kentucky Nonprofit Leadership Forum and our 2012 award recipients! From the Clinics and free celebration on October 24 to the Forum and Awards Luncheon on October 25 – we hope you plan to join us to celebrate your state association of nonprofits.
This year’s award recipients give us three more reasons to celebrate:
- Blue Grass Community Foundation, selected as recipient of the Fifth Third Bank and Dean Dorton Allen Ford Innovative Nonprofit Award for their GoodGiving Guide Challenge – a community-wide, online giving challenge whose design is the first of its kind in Central Kentucky.
- Mike Mullins, long-time executive director of Hindman Settlement School, was selected as the posthumous recipient of the Energy Insurance Agency and Travelers Insurance Distinguished Nonprofit Leadership Award. Mike worked tirelessly to provide educational service opportunities for the Eastern Kentucky region and promote Appalachian heritage during his 34-year career with the school.
- Steve Jennings was selected as the recipient of the new PNC Bank and Mountjoy Chilton Medley Outstanding Board Leadership Award. Steve was nominated for his service on the board of God’s Pantry Food Bank, and he is a CPA with Crowe Horwath.
I sincerely hope you will plan to join us to recognize these outstanding award recipients and mark KNN’s 10th Anniversary! It’s going to be a great party and we’d love to see you there!
