History
The Kentucky Nonprofit Network was founded in February 2002 and became an outreach program of the Department of Community and Leadership Development at the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture in 2004. The Kentucky Nonprofit Network, Inc. received its charitable tax exempt status in January 2013. The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Department of Community and Leadership Development is a partner of KNN to meet the needs of Kentucky’s nonprofit community.
The Kentucky Nonprofit Network:

Provides nonprofit professionals and board members with opportunities for quality education and skill development;

Assists nonprofit organizations with specific management needs through customized “consulting services;”/hire/

Facilitates communication, collaboration and knowledge exchange among nonprofit professionals statewide;

Provides cost-saving services and programs;

Advocates for public policies and regulations that enhance the ability of nonprofits to achieve their missions; and
-
Initiates research to benefit Kentucky’s nonprofit sector and those they serve.
