KNN Team Hard at Work

Published On: October 18, 2011

You know what it’s like – planning for a big event (in this case, our biggest annual event) creates a buzz, an energy, an excitement, an added workload that you don’t necessarily mind (or that’s what I hope our team would say).  KNN is finalizing the details for our ninth annual KY Nonprofit Leadership Forum next week and all of the little details are cominstaffg together to make this our best Forum ever!

I want to use our blog space this week to brag on our team.  If you’ve never had the pleasure of meeting or talking with Lynda Mae Wilson, our Membership & Events Coordinator, you need to.  She a hardworking, out of the box thinker who is committed to every registrant of our events, every member of KNN having an awesome experience.  I value her opinion and am so grateful for her commitment to making KNN an invaluable nonprofit resource.  Whitney Wilgus, our new Communications Coordinator joined us in August, has brought fresh ideas and insights to the Forum and our overall work at KNN.  Her experiences with other nonprofits and membership organizations have been so valuable to us in rethinking what’s working and what can improve – so thrilled to have her on our team.  And last but not least is our new intern, Kelsey Lewis.  Kelsey is a graduate student at UK working on her master’s in public administration.  She tackles everything with enthusiasm and attention to detail – from survey development to data entry to the exciting task of making copies, Kelsey is eager to learn all she can and as those of you who’ve had an awesome intern can attest – we are so grateful to have her.

The bottom line is our team is committed to doing what we can to provide nonprofit leaders with a membership that matters – services and benefits of value, education that provides you with the skills you need, information on important public policy issues that impact you and those you serve, networking that connects you and consulting and resources that strengthen your impact.   We want to hear from you – tell us (link to email me) how we can best serve you and your nonprofit.

If you haven’t registered for the Forum, don’t panic!  You can still attend the KNN Reception & Partner Spotlight on Wednesday, October 26 from 4:30 – 6:30pm and if you are a KNN facebook friend, there is a special last minute Forum opportunity – check it out.  And finally, if you run into a member of the KNN team, please take a moment to get to know them – this is a GREAT team working for our nonprofit sector.
