New leadership comes on Board of Directors at Kentucky Nonprofit Network
Kentucky Nonprofit Network (KNN), the state association of charitable nonprofits, is proud to announce the election of two new members to its board of directors: Marcey Ansley, Executive Director of The Hearing & Speech Center, and Kateena Haynes, Chief Executive Officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of Appalachia.
Marcey Ansley has served as Executive Director of The Hearing & Speech Center in Lexington since 2011. With over 30 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, she has dedicated her career to fund development at organizations such as the American Red Cross, the Alzheimer’s Association, and Hospice of the Bluegrass. Marcey’s deep commitment to community service extends beyond her professional role; she actively volunteers with the Junior League of Lexington, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass, and several other local organizations. As the parent of a child with hearing loss, Marcey is passionate about advocating for early intervention and inclusive services.
Kateena Haynes brings more than two decades of experience in youth development to the board. As CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Appalachia, Kateena has led the organization’s significant growth, expanding it from a single club to eight locations, with a budget increase from $125,000 to over $3 million. She has raised over $15 million in grants and donations to support vital youth programs, including mental health services, youth leadership, and education. A former council member in Cumberland, KY, Kateena has received numerous accolades for her contributions to youth development, including the Hal Rogers Difference Maker Award and the Civic Educator of the Year recognition.
These new board members will bring valuable expertise and leadership to KNN as it continues to support and strengthen Kentucky’s nonprofit sector. They will join existing nonprofit advocates and leaders on the board, including newly appointed officers: Chair Eileen O’Brien, an attorney with Osborne Family Law in Lexington; Secretary Sarah Jefferson, Chief Experience Officer and Senior Vice President at Traditional Bank in Lexington; Treasurer Judy Simpson, Director of Finance at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra; and Vice Chair Mason Dyer, President at the Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities, based in Frankfort.
