Nonprofit Registration Now Open for KY Gives Day 2025

Published On: March 3, 2025

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Registration is live for Kentucky Gives Day, the statewide 24-hour online giving event. #KYGives25 returns for its 13th year on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Nonprofit organizations across the Commonwealth are encouraged to register and get engaged as soon as possible to maximize their fundraising potential. Hosted by Kentucky Nonprofit Network (KNN), the state association of nonprofits, this day of giving aims to inspire Kentuckians to donate to their favorite causes and help spread support via social media.

The day-long marathon kicks off at midnight (EDT) on May 13 and charges ahead through 11:59 p.m. (EDT) that same day. Kentuckians statewide will have the chance to visit www.kygives.org, connect with their preferred charitable causes, and make their contributions. Nonprofits that are already KNN member can enjoy Kentucky Gives Day participation as a built-in benefit of membership. For those not yet members, it’s a fantastic time to join, though they can also sign up for a one-time registration fee for the day. Nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status and operating within Kentucky are eligible to register at www.kygives.org by April 23.

To ensure every participant is geared up for success, free training sessions are on deck starting March 6 courtesy of GiveGab, KNN’s trusted online giving platform partner. Dive into the details by attending an upcoming webinar or view recordings afterward at www.kygives.org/info/trainings.

Since its debut 13 years ago, participating nonprofits have collectively raised over $5.8 million through Kentucky Gives Day. In 2024 alone, the generosity of Kentuckians propelled 236 nonprofits to raise $699,803.

This powerful day of action and philanthropy is especially critical as Kentucky’s nonprofits face a number of increasing challenges at the federal and state levels. Kentucky Gives Day 2025 allows nonprofits to rally together, amplify their voices, and secure critical support. It provides outstanding visibility that only a statewide effort of this magnitude could generate. Thousands of potential donors can find nonprofits through the site’s search function and nonprofits can use their unique page links to share with supporters via email and social media outreach.

” We urge Kentucky nonprofits in need of charitable donations and increased visibility for their mission to join with Kentucky Nonprofit Network and nonprofits across the state for a powerful day of action, awareness, and a demonstration of the power of philanthropy,” remarked Danielle Clore, CEO of Kentucky Nonprofit Network. “The sooner nonprofits get registered, the more they can benefit from KNN’s resources for a successful Kentucky Gives Day effort!”

While www.kygives.org will be open to accept donations May 1 through May 14, exciting cash prizes will be awarded to participating nonprofits on Kentucky Gives Day itself (May 13), and organizations are encouraged to further the impact of the event with matching gift incentives and peer-to-peer fundraisers. The Central Kentucky Community Foundation in Elizabethtown will also be providing regional prize incentives for nonprofits in Hardin and eight surrounding counties.

Kentucky Gives Day 2025 is sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Kentucky, The LG&E and KU Foundation, Aetna Better Health of Kentucky,  and Impressions Marketing.
